WHAT THIS IS ABOUT

With public funding for transportation infrastructure being limited, many surface transportation facilities including streets and highways may become subject to litigation. This course will focus on design, operational and maintenance issues associated with streets and highways that can lead to claims and litigation. Furthermore, the workshop will review pertinent laws, standards and policies, providing the attendee fundamental information on the litigation process. A review of various litigation cases will illustrate the presentation.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This course is designed for all those who are involved in transportation efforts from planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance. The course focuses on roadway litigation and is designed to provide engineers, public works employees, attorneys, risk managers and administrators relevant information to minimize transportation infrastructure related lawsuits.
