WHAT THIS IS ABOUT

Each year, nearly 1-1/2 million employees enter workplace confined spaces. Approximately 20 of these workers will die there. Over half of these fatalities are would-be rescuers. OSHA estimates that at least 85% of these fatalities could be avoided if proper safety precautions are followed.

This workshop will discuss a variety of topics related to confined space operations, and will provide participants with the information they need to develop confined space procedures that will enhance the safety of both themselves and their workers.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The workshop is recommended for public utility, industrial and construction personnel who may be expected to work in confined spaces. It is also recommended for safety, supervisory, and line leadership personnel, and emergency response workers and supervisors.
