Dr. Lila Holt is an educator and technology practitioner who actively contributes to instructional technology and STEM education. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Theory and Practice in Teacher Education department at the University of Tennessee, she specializes in integrating technology into STEM education. Dr. Holt has also served as a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), where she has shared her expertise in programming and computer information systems. Her involvement in the Governor’s School for Science and Engineering summer program as the former Faculty Director and as an Instructor reflects her commitment to teaching STEM skills and inspiring young students to explore careers in science and engineering. In her current role, Dr. Holt supports various technologies for TTAP and CTR. She manages registration and training database systems and contributes to developing online courses grounded in adult education principles. Dr. Holt emphasizes using innovative educational approaches that may include mobile and social media tools, gaming, and interactive learning methods to create engaging and accessible courses for a wide range of learners. Dr. Holt earned her Ph.D. in Education focusing on Instructional Technology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she also completed her Master of Science (MS) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees in Computer Science.
