WHAT THIS IS ABOUT
Developments create impacts to traffic and traffic impacts our lives every day. So, when should a traffic impact analysis (TIA) be conducted? Who can prepare a TIA and what should it include? This course hopes to cover everything you need to know to get knee deep into a traffic impact analysis. This class aims to provide information that is critical to both the TIA preparer, the TIA reviewer, or those making development policy decisions. Discussion will include the basic steps, common mistakes, & how-to of traffic impact studies. Class content has been newly updated in 2020, so this class could be a good refresher even if you have taken it in the past.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This workshop is designed for transportation planners, engineers, and public officials who are responsible for the analysis of new developments and its traffic impact on the transportation network.
