WHAT THIS IS ABOUT

A FREE training program developed to educate on the hazards found in trench and excavation work in the transportation construction industry.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify basic hazards associated with trenching & excavation
  • Explain how protective systems work and how they protect workers
  • Describe inspection requirements, duties of the “Competent Person”, and other safety considerations in trenching & excavation work

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This workshop is recommended for underground construction personnel, supervisors, construction safety managers, public utility personnel and first responders.

INSTRUCTOR

Robinson Vasquez, LLM, MBA
Robinson Vasquez works in ARTBA as a safety Training & Business Development manager since 2012. He is an experienced trainer and business manager, with responsibilities for various safety training contracts and liaison with the Hispanic community in the USA and Latin America. Before joining ARTBA, Robinson served as an attorney, specializing in labor and construction law in his native Peru. Robinson graduated cum laude from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, where he earned his law degree in 1993. In 2009, he graduated with a master's in law or LLM from Brigham Young University; and he also graduated with a master's in business administration or MBA in 20011 from the University of Utah. Robinson is a qualified ARTBA, OSHA, and NSC instructor and co-creator of different English and Spanish safety training materials.
