WHAT THIS IS ABOUT

This 1-hour webinar will present the fundamentals of pavement markings retroreflectivity. Furthermore, it will inform you about the changes provided on Revision 3 of the MUTCD, effective as of On September 6, 2022, where FHWA announced the final rule to reduce roadway fatalities in dark conditions by improving visibility with retroreflective pavement markings. The final rule also requires state and local agencies or officials to implement a method within four years for maintaining pavement marking retroreflectivity at or above minimum levels.

This webinar is designed for local and state governmental employees who are responsible for the installation and maintenance of pavement markings on roadways and streets.

Chris Adkins has been an active member of the traffic safety industry for over 10 years, the past 6 of which he has focused on retroreflectivity testing. He's an active member of the industry as a committee member or a friend of the committee for TRB, ASTM, and ATSSA. He also serves as the Chair for the ATSSA Texas Chapter pavement marking committee.
